“Hotshots19”

Labor Day Monday Workout details & Information. 

Class times: 6:00, 7:15 & 8:30 AM. 

Signup: Please signup on MINDBODY. The first 30 athletes for each class are guaranteed a square. If you are sharing a square with someone(which will be helpful), please only have one person sign up online. Please coordinate pre-class with that member for this. Those that do not have a square, & are “waitlisted” may workout outside as we will accommodate everyone for this Hero WOD.  All coaches will workout outside as members have square priority.  

-But please signup as this helps us greatly for equipment preparation & class setup.-

Equipment: Athletes are encouraged to share a bar or set of DB’s & stagger stations for most efficient class flow. Those that want to work solo, we will 100 % accomdate your needs & spacing, as we have plenty of equipment for everyone. We will utilize both sides of the gym. 

Chalk: Please bring your own as this will be very helpful for the pull-ups & cleans. 

“Hotshots 19”

In the city of Prescott, Arizona, firefighters, members of the Granite Mountain Hotshots firefighting team, tragically lost their lives on June 30, 2013, while fighting the Yarnell Hill Fire, which was ignited by lightning two days earlier. It was the deadliest wildfire in Arizona’s history. 

This workout was first posted on the CrossFit main site, August 31, 2013.  CrosFit established a fundraiser through its foundation & has since raised money for the families of these lost heroes.

In 2017, a filmed titled Only The Brave was made as a tribute to these 19 fallen heroes.

For our 830 class, we will a have a Bluffton Fire truck on hand to honor these heroes.  🚒

Please be on time & wear anything CF 843 or anything first responder related. Those with gear, please wear in tribute to these fallen heroes.🇺🇸
